Earlier this evening, the philosopher and I took a nice little float across the Sound to spend some time with my mom on the island. We ate some Mexican food, talked, watched "What About Bob?", and played some skipbo. Oh, and I got a couple birthday presents! As per my request, my mom gave me a little bit of saving money. She also footed the UPS bill to transport a very special stamp collection from Texas to Washington. So here I am headed to bed the night before my birthDAY, six giant boxes of nostalgia and postal history richer. THANKS MOM!

island time
The philosopher and I have been visiting my mom on Bainbridge.
Besides spending time laughing and talking with my mom
we've been busy buying a suit for Luke, eating Mexican food,
reading, eating junk food, watching movies,
cleaning, weeding, and, again, eating Mexican food.
Tonight we plan on playing with our kitties, eating Big Salads,
and finishing our favorite trilogy.
Happy Thursday!
